Turkilton is our male African Helmeted Turtle (Pelomedusa Subrufa)
We acquired Turkilton in 2007. Personally I find him fascinating he very placid and will come to the edge of the tank to see you and see if you have any food for him and he can eat a power. He will let you take him out of his tank with no problems, he used to try and scratch when he was younger but he has calmed right down.
